With the weather being as unpredictable and sometimes as bad as last summer, how good was it to get a day of sun for this demo.

By 11am the plaza was already pretty packed, with skaters from all over the UK coming to see the FLIP team in action and getting a good skate in before the team arrived.

The team arrived around 4pm and consisted of Mark Appleyard, Willow, David Gonzales and the Flip 'superams' Curren Caples, Luan De Oliveira and Louis Lopez.

An amazing session was dished out to a massive crowd with so many tricks nailed on so many areas of the plaza, you had to be in five different places to even see a small ammount of the stuff that went down.

The kicker to big ledge got punished by Mark Appleyard- long krooks- fakie out, flip nose manny, b/s heelflip to b/s 50:50 to name a few!

At the hip Luan De Oliveira showed off his skills and landed a switch 360 heelflip over it, hardflip revert, 360 flip 360 bodyvarial, frontside bigspin, nollie 540 bigspin and a backside double flip. On the Pier-7 blocks he landed fakie tre switch manny, fakie tre manny switch manny switch flip outswitch frontside heel manny revert. This lad has skills in abundance!

The driveway was sessioned heavier than I've ever seen and the Jersey barrier/bank saw a really great session with David Gonzales landing a b/s nosebluntstall!

While this carnage was going on, the 5-set and 4-sets saw Willow landing some great stuff. He had been warming up on them ready to unleash a few showstoppers of his own. Nollie shifty down the 5 then nollie tre the 4, ollie the 5 and bigspin the 4, ollie the 5 and lazerflip the 4, ollie the 5 and hardflip the 4, ollie the 5 and frontshuv krooks the big hubba down the 4. RIDCULOUS!

Louis Lopez soon joined the destruction on the 4&5 sets hitting the rails and hubbas with ease and landing a perfect 360 ollie down the 4. His set up trick was a tre flip down the 5 and he landed it every go with ease! Absolutely amazing stuff from a kid of 14!! In the words of Ben Powell, replying to me when I stated that these kids were amazing, "absolute piss take" was his reply! Can't disgree!!!

The one for me had to be David Gonzales' frontside nosebluntslide the top of the big bank at the end of the 4&5-sets. AWESOME!

The 'proddy toss' ensued with the usual carnage of kids rippin' into each other for a sticker! Then the heaviest of downpours put a stop to the entertainment and the plaza went into mass evacuation!

A huge thanks to the FLIP team for coming, to Ben at Sidewalk and the lads from Shiner Distribution for making the day possible.

Also, a big thanks to Morph and Peach for the photos and to all the lads who helped with the clean up.
