DVS 'European Vacation Tour' demo at Stokeplaza- Sunday 25th June 2006

Well at least, on this day, it did'nt rain!!! A real welcome change!

The plaza was packed awaiting the DVS team and the skating was hectic. The skaters kept asking the whereabouts of the team and as it reached around 3.30, they arrived. However, they had'nt eaten and a search for a pub that did food AND had the Engalnd v Equador World Cup match on for Leo (Sidewalk) and Mark Baines!!

After he first half (which was pretty dire), the decision to get the demo on was made.

The team made their way to the plaza and started to eye the various spots up and just cruise around.

Mark Baines found his spot at the Barca spot/hip and was trying nollie cab heels and landing a peach! Then he was trying them with a 540- only just missing out landing one. Hopefully we will see him visiting the plaza very soon and he'll nail it!

Jeron Wilson was cruising around and checking the place out but obviously was not feeling it as he soon sat out the session. Joining Kristian Bomholt on the bench!!

Zered Bassett, Torey Pudwill seemed to be having a good time though, following each other's lines. Torey started at the Barca spot/hip, flipping into the bank and ollieing up the kicker onto the top of the big-3, hitting a trick on the long block then backside 50-50's and 5-0's down the long curved ledge- nice line!!

The fun really started when the locals wee asking 'how high Torey could ollie' and they soon set up some boards to prove it! He ollied 7 boards then switch ollied 6! The kids then set up a load of boards to see how far he could ollie, he cleared 'em with ease so the kids decided to be the obstacle and lay on the floor, letting Torey clear them, which he did to massive cheers........ and their relief!

The obligatory proddy toss then followed and the plaza looked like it had been invaded by wasps as most of the kids had bright yellow DVS tees on!!! After the chaos, the team left for their next destination and the kids were happy with their new proddy.

Thanks to the team for coming down even though the skate session did'nt go off as much as all would of liked to of seen- but it was Sunday........"day of rest"!!??
