STOKEPLAZA at Central Forest Park- NEWS........... |
|
Go Skateboarding Day- Monday 21st June. Well done and many thanks to Richard 'Stan' Stanley for getting off his arse and organising a assive game of SKATE at the plaza, in the SAS's absence (due to he fact that I had to work!!) A great turn out and some insane stuff went down. The final was between Si Toft and Mike Smith with Mike edging the first prize nailing a switch hardflip on his 21st birthday!! Well done Mike and Happy Birthday! A best trick was held on the 'big-2' and Reuben Hovarth took the prize on a broken board!! |

Skater Of The Plaza 2010. 2010's Skater Of The Plaza' is, for the second year running, 'Scottish' Ben Gay. Simon Toft was (again, for the second year running!) runner up in the 18+ category. Last year's winner- Curtis Munton took the 13-17 year category again and Reuben Horvath came runner up. The competition in these two categories was extremely close and some really good stuff went down- showing just what a strong scene Stoke has!! Keep it up boys and get practising for next year!! The winner of the 8-13 year category was George Glover-Birks and runner up was Jack Wilson. Thanks to all who turned up and supported the event and a special thanks to all who entered the comp and made it worthwhile putting on. A special thanks to all the sponsors and Sam, from Form Dist., for doing the impossible task of judging! Not forgetting Drew/Dazed, of course, as they are the soul of the comp and the scene! There will be an EVENTS page up soon with some photos- keep checking for updates. For now- check out some footage courtesy of Stan!

New CLONE graphic/deck. The new CLONE graphic/design is now available at Dazed skateshop. Designed by a local artist, Chris Carr @ 'Drawn to Play' (who has designed graphics for snowboard companies). Chris's interpretation of the CLONE theme is very different than anything that's gone before it, the main thing being, they have introduced COLOUR for the first time!!!!!! Blending Eastern culture with the 'Drawn To Play' stamp on it, has resulted in the 'Divine Individuals' graphic. The price is £31.99 inc. Jessop griptape and a free D2P sticker (while stock lasts) and are only available at Dazed skateshop. Go to www.clone-skateboards.co.uk for all the details. Also there is a new competition on the site to win a new CLONE deck! |
